Cathedral 2026 Faith Filled Financial Commitment

Securely complete your financial commitment online

Ingathering Sunday will be Sunday, November 2nd. If you haven't already pledged online or mailed in your commitment card, you're invited to do so as soon as possible if you are able!

Invest in our future.

Our bishop has called on us to take on a greater leadership role in the diocese. The future dean of the Cathedral is not just the spiritual leader of our congregation, the dean is also a leader for the wider community and for the entire diocese, just as we are the Cathedral for the entire diocese. It is time for us to invest in that broader role as model, focal point, and gathering place for the city and the diocese.

Many of you participated in our Holy Cow! survey. You told us that your top priorities were pastoral care and healing; growth; and caring for the vulnerable and marginalized. You told us how much you value our excellent music offerings. You emphasized the importance of robust offerings for families, children, and youth. And you told us that friendship, fellowship, small groups, and opportunities to participate in ministry are important to you.

Let’s invest in them.

Every year at this time we invite you to make a faith filled financial investment to the life and work of the Cathedral Church of St. Peter. Our goal is $775,000, which is a 5% increase over the amount committed this year. What better way to start off 2026 and to show that we are serious about our work as faithful Christians than to achieve (or exceed!) our goal?

We look forward to deepening our faith, enhancing our ministries, maintaining our Cathedral, and growing in faith-filled generosity together as we continue to give thanks for this Cathedral parish and for generations to come.

We invite you to also make another kind of commitment to the Cathedral this year. The Holy Cow! survey showed that two-thirds of us are age 65 or older. As a community we need to make a concerted effort at succession planning so that those who have served long and well can pass the baton to the next generation of Cathedral leaders. Won’t you step up and volunteer, get involved, share your gifts and talents, and make an investment of time?

We offer you another opportunity to invest in the future of the Cathedral. If you have not yet made your will — something everyone should do! — we invite you to remember the Cathedral in your estate planning. We benefit from an endowment of over $4-million because generous givers in the past have made bequests to the Cathedral. You can make a future investment — it costs you nothing now! — by remembering the Cathedral in your will.

It’s time to invest our work, our wisdom, and our wealth in the Cathedral.

Please say yes to making a Financial Commitment to our Cathedral.

Yours in Christ,

Ray McColgan                                                             The Very Rev. Michelle Robertshaw
