Worship at the Cathedral
Worship is at the heart of the Cathedral Church of St. Peter.
God brings us together, prayer centers us, and worship reminds us that we are God’s beloved. Worship is an open invitation to all to explore the unique call from Jesus to come and follow him.
Services are also available via live-stream on the Cathedral’s Facebook page.
Holy Eucharist Rite I | Sunday at 8:00 am
A close-knit community meets in St. Mary’s Chapel, for a traditional liturgy without music. The service is quiet and meditative.
Holy Eucharist Rite II | Sunday at 10:15 am
The 10:15 am Eucharist presents the full beauty of our liturgy, with music, prayers, and sermons. In addition to scripture lessons, this service includes a sung psalm. During this service, we also offer a special Children’s Chapel for children ages 4 through 2nd grade and nursery for babies through age 4.
Midweek Holy Eucharist + Healing Service
Wednesdays at 12:05 pm
A faithful community gathers for this brief mid-week service with scripture, prayers, and a brief homily. All are invited to come to the altar for healing prayers and anointing with oil. Midweek Eucharist provides a meditative respite in the midst of the busyness of life.
Service of the Longest Night
Saturday, December 21 at 7:00 pm
This is a service of prayer and mindfulness for those dealing with loss of all kinds. We traditionally think of the holiday season as a time of joy and abundance, but for some the pressure to celebrate can be overwhelming. Life situations and loss can heighten feelings of worry and grief. This is a service of light in the midst of darkness.
The service is scheduled for the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. We recognize that there is darkness in all our lives. Through music, silent meditation, scripture, and healing prayer, we reach out to acknowledge sadness with comfort and quiet remembrance, to reflect on the losses we have experienced and to remember together the real reason for the season: The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. God is with us.
Featuring seven music meditations composed by harpist Dolly McClellan Roberts. Whether you are having a difficult time this holiday season or just want a moment of quiet, please come. If you know someone who is sad, struggling, or alone, please invite them to attend. Everyone is welcome.
