Cathedral Young Adults 20s/40s Community

YOUNG ADULTS

Cathedral 20s/40s meet throughout the year

Young adults (ages 20ish to 40ish) looking for connection and community with people in similar life situations as you, please consider joining the young adult group at the Cathedral. There is a private Facebook group, where we communicate with each other, sharing ideas, questions, prayer requests, and of course, opportunities to get together.

You can search for the group on Facebook:

Praying in Color Advent Retreat
Saturday, November 16 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm

If you're looking for a quiet, meditative, and creative day to prepare yourself for Advent, join us for Praying in Color with artist Sybil MacBeth.

With left-brain and right-brain exercises, we will explore some meditative and playful practices to journey through Advent--practices that also equip us to travel the entire liturgical year. Paper, pens, and colored markers will be provided. No artist skill is necessary. Just bring a spirit of Holy Adventure. Register online at spcathedral.org/arts.

Mission Trips in 2025!

There are two exciting opportunities taking shape in 2025 and I hope you’ll join us!

EYC and Young Adult Civil Rights Pilgrimage - March OR June 2025
Interest meeting: Thursday, September 19 at 7:30 pm
Register for the Zoom link here.

Youth and young adults are invited to go on a week-long pilgrimage to Montgomery, Alabama. While we are there, we will engage in two days of service work in the local community. The following two days we will visit civil rights landmarks as well as the Legacy Museum and the National Memorial and Museum for Peace and Justice. Depending on interest, this could be a spring break trip or a summer trip. Please indicate your interest/preference now!

Belize Mission Trip - July 20-26, 2025
Interest meeting: Thursday, October 24 at 7:00 pm
Register for the Zoom link here.

Working with Bold Hope, we will travel to Belize to work with and learn from the people living in San Ignacio Town. Opportunities for service include building concrete additions to the church, leading VBS for village kids, visiting a local organic coffee farm, and visiting with church members. This trip is open to all rising 10th graders and adults. This will be a beautiful and unique opportunity to have new experiences, connect with others, and learn about different cultures.
