Come sing some of your favorite hymns and listen to the stories behind them at a Hymn Festival, “Let the People Praise You: Our Faith in Song.” Choir and congregation will sing, and we’ll hear the history behind the songs — the composers, the texts, the context.

The freewill offering will be given to Florida Resurrection House to support its work breaking the generational cycle of poverty as it works with single mothers and their children.

But wait, there’s more! The singing will be followed by a festive reception. There will be raffles for prizes, again benefiting Resurrection House. Music Director Dwight Thomas will conduct an auction where you can bid to have your favorite hymn sung on the day of your choice, or to ban a not-so-favorite hymn for a year.
