Parade Details for Monday, January 20
Contact: Martha Goodwill (727-639-2123)
Where do we start? Meet at 10:00 am in Albert Whitted Park. The parade route starts at 3rd St. and 1st Ave. S.
Where should we park? Carpool if you can. One car should be parked at the end of the parade in the parking lot west of Tropicana Field across the street from Gates 5 & 6. There is no shuttle to the parade start, so a non-marching driver should drop off the marchers.
What should we wear? Wear your church t-shirt or other Episcopal t-shirt and comfortable shoes.
How long is the route? The route is 1.5 miles long.
What should we bring? Bring items to hand out to the crowds: candy, rubber bracelets, etc. We ran out early, so bringing more is better. It would also be nice to carry posters or signage with justice oriented scriptural messages. And, consider carrying your church banner.
How long is the commitment to march? The official end of the parade is 1:30. If you need to leave before, there are places to exit the parade route but not easily.
What about lunch? If you would like to join others at the Cathedral for lunch, please sign up and we will ensure your lunch is available after the parade!
