Prayer Partners

Connect with others through prayer!

A new ministry will start in the new year: intergenerational prayer partners. Prayer offers an opportunity for people in all generations to simultaneously connect with God and with others. This is true whether you are in the presence of the person(s) you are praying for, or simply in prayer for them.

The idea is to connect people from different generations who might not normally interact. If you are interested in being a prayer partner with a younger member of the Cathedral ... or if you are a parent of a child who might like a prayer partner ... or if you are involved in EYC or are a college student who might appreciate having a prayer partner ...

Sign up by January 21 and then we will then match those signing up as partners and start the program on February 4.

The only expectation is to pray for your partner and gather once a year at a prayer partner breakfast. But you and your prayer partner may come up with other ideas to stay in touch. You may want to touch base at Coffee Hour or meet your prayer partner to light a candle after Communion. Prayer partners might enjoy sharing a night of Messy Church. You might send each other cards at the start of each liturgical season of the Church year.
