As our nation marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the Cathedral will observe Independence Day on Sunday, July 5, transferring the appointed readings to both morning liturgies. As we give thanks for the freedoms and responsibilities entrusted to us as citizens, we will also reflect upon our calling as Christians to seek justice, serve our neighbors, and work for the common good in the life of our nation and community.
