Ethan Alan Keen Piano Concert

Pianist Ethan Alan Keen will present a concert at 7 pm Sunday, August 25, at the Cathedral — a performance he says will be “unlike any typical recital I’ve ever done.”

The performance consists of two sections. The first is “lecture section/guided meditation” with music mostly by Ludovico Einaudi. The second is an “improvised/unguided meditation” in three parts: improvised meditations on new beginnings, inspiration, and peace.

Ethan Keen’s “passion for the piano began at age 8,” his biography says. He studied piano performance at Southeastern University and has performed in chamber ensembles and jazz, contemporary, and gospel bands. Now he anticipates fulfilling his “long-held aspiration of presenting an unforgettable piano experience.”
