First we will look at the types of prayer listed in the BCP Catechism on p. 856 and discuss some examples of each type and how we might incorporate them into our lives. Second, we will discuss personal prayer and corporate prayer—what are some ways of praying privately? why do we pray the way we do in our public worship? Third, we will look at what it means to have a “life of prayer”, including some examples of heroes of the faith and how they prayed and what we might to to imitate them for our own growth in faith and service.
