MLK Day of Service

Martin Luther King, Jr.png

Inspired by the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Outreach Committee has organized a day of service to benefit the lives of those we love and support in our community. The Cathedral will have on-site opportunities of service especially geared toward families with small children and those with mobility issues.

Our goal on this day is to answer the question posed by Dr. King himself when he offered: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?' ” Let us show up for our community, the missions of this congregation, with our hands and feet and the love of Christ. May January 21 be more than a federal holiday. May it be a day in which we “learn to live together as brothers” and not a day that we “perish as fools.”
